Each pair of PF-2 fluoride reduction elements can filter up to 1,000 gallons, and should be changed after this volume (if refilling twice daily with 4 gallon refills) or one year, whichever comes first.

The PF-2 Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Elements are post filter elements designed to work in tandem with Black Berkey Purification elements to remove between 95-97% of fluoride and arsenic from your water, an especially crucial function given that fluoridated municipal supplies often contain fluoridated water that has been shown to pose negative health impacts, particularly among young children.
Arsenic is a naturally-occurring contaminant found in rocks and soil that may leach into drinking water sources, often found in plastic products, and associated with various health concerns. Our PF-2 filters have been designed to significantly reduce arsenic by up to 97%.
PF-2 filters are easy to install and don’t require priming; however, they should be stored away from freezing temperatures, high heat sources such as boilers and boiling. Furthermore, more than eight turns should not be applied when screwing on as this could damage its core.
