Replacement Filters

The Alexa Pure Pro gravity filter is a stainless steel gravity filter which rivals Berkey but costs much less. It filters tons of water quickly and comes in various sizes to meet your individual needs, yet does require some maintenance prior to starting its use. It is essential that users understand this before using one for the first time.

Stainless steel upper and lower holding chambers can be easily cleaned using dish soap mixed with hot water, while filter elements should be scrubbed using a scour pad and cold water. Hybrid ceramic shells should also be regularly maintained so as to avoid damaging their surfaces during cleaning procedures.

When it’s time to change out your filter element, simply unscrew the wing nut on top of your unit to easily unplug and unscrew your old filter element. There is room for up to four filters, giving you greater flow rate control if necessary. Alexa Pure Pro has been tested to reduce up to 206 contaminants including fluoride, arsenic, toxins, pesticides and pharmaceuticals – ideal for your daily life and environment!

Maintenance

However, before beginning installation you should read and follow all instructions closely as well as shut off your water source before commencing with installation process. Rinsing and pre-filtering with clean water before use are also recommended steps.

Once your Alexa Pure has been set up, be sure to flush it by gradually pouring water from the top container into the lower one and letting it filter down into it – this will remove any alcohol residue left from storage and help ensure optimum functioning of the tank.

At least once every few weeks, it is also crucial to scrub and clean the filter and bottom container using dish soap and water in order to ensure that your filtration system is functioning effectively and you’re receiving clean drinking water. This will ensure you’re receiving safe drinking water from your tap!
