Cleaning your Black Berkey with either the sink method (shown above) or bucket method is quick and straightforward. Begin by emptying both chambers and rinsing them thoroughly under running water before pouring a small amount of white vinegar down its spigot, leaving it for several minutes before using a scrub brush to scrub over its surfaces before finally sanitizing with water to complete this task.
After disassembling and removing the cap and lever from the spigot, soak both in vinegar for at least 30 minutes before using a brush to scrub with it before reassembling. Finally, wash all screws and small bits with soapy water and rinse well afterwards.
Ease of Storage
